The flint Michigan band the Swellers have reached the end of the line. It is really sad to see band that you love break up it makes a void in your heart that will never be filled. Sadly enough that is how i fell with the Swellers, but i am not here right now to tell you about how i feel about them. I'm here to tell you a story the story of the Swellers.
The Swellers were formed in flint Michigan a city in Michigan known for there high crime rate. The band formed on June 24, 2002 brothers Nick and Jono Dienier formed the band with first guitarist of many, Nate Lambert. Jono Diener says in an article on noisey.vice.com "I still have fond memories of performing during our school lunch and kids throwing bread sticks at us because according to them, we were wussies". The swellers crowd began to grew when they opened for Mustard Plug and the Suicide Machines. After a short stint with the band second guitarist Nick Ondovcsik Nate Lambert left the band and Garret Bugett and Lance Nelson joined the band Garret on bass and Lance on guitar. In 2005 the band recorded there first EP "Beginning of the end". The EP was released off of search and rescue records The Swellers also played a leg of warped tour. The same year the Swellers signed Rad tone music in Japan. After high school the band embarked on a tour through California. The swellers realesed album "My Everest". Finally Ryan Collins and Anto Boros joined the band to complete what will be the Swellers final line up. The swellers sighed to Fuled by Ramen, a label that signed bands such as Less Than Jake and Paramore. They Released "Ups and Downsizing". To support the new album they toured as a opening band for Paramore on the "Brand New Eyes" tour. The swellers also went on tour with bands such as Less Than Jake The Cassualties. Starting on June 25 to July 17 2010 the swellers went on warped tour. On April 22 there 4th studio album was released, "Good For Me" it was a booming album with the hit single "Best ive Ever had" which racked up over a million views on youtube also single Inside my Head was realesed off of this record. On october 16 2012 the Swellers realesed EP "Running out of Places to go". The swellers realesed there final album The Light under Closed doors on October 29 2013. On June 24 2014 the Swellers anounced they were breaking up this cane as a shock to some fans.
